Love Never Fails

It’s not black versus white, it’s everyone against racism.

There's a lot of pain, fear, and ignorance speaking right now. There are SO many triggers in these conversations that are rooted in over 400 years of pain, violence, and killing.

We must keep talking. The change we seek requires it.

To my Non-Black friends: Don't take it personally.

Love doesn't take things personally. Love chooses to show love and be love. It sees the heart of others through their pain and says, "I love you. I'm here."

It doesn't need to be right. It listens and it affirms others. It doesn't ask for validation and it doesn't disparage others in their pain. It leans into understanding, it bends the arc towards justice, it is felt, through its action, rather than seen.

Be that love in this conversation, because you have the greatest opportunity to be an ally for others and an example to your community.

Be strong rather than wounded, be courageous and vulnerable, and take action. Do the work and show up. Do not stop.

Love never fails.
